Patricia Bays Haroski, an employee at State Farm Insurance Company in Illinois, registered it with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Haroski chose the date because it was her father's birthday. "Pigs on Parade"

The Pigs on Parade is part of "The Big Pig Gig" Community Festival sponsored by the Menomonee Falls Chamber of Commerce. This year we are painting our very own pig which will soon be located outside the shop. It is a fun way for businesses throughout the village to promote the Big Pig Gig and donate money for our favorite charity which is the Sussex Outreach Services. The Big Pig Gig will be held September 17-18th Downtown Menomonee Falls. Come to Bank of Memories and donate to such a wonderful cause!!!!

The staff, visitors, and patients are able to purchase our product. Make someone smile week!!

At Bank of Memories, we love making people smile. Thats why during Teleflora's Make Someone Smile Week, July 18-24, we will be working with homeless and domestic abused people at many shelters around the Milwaukee Metro area. We will be distributing hundreds of smiley mug arrangements to the shelters. Many wholesalers around the area donate their products to make this all come to life! The girls at Bank of Memories help to make and transport all of these beautiful mugs in hopes to put a smile on the face of these people. Last year we made arrangements to send to many nursing homes around the area and it was a huge success. The owner, Melissa Maas, has coordinated this event for the whole state of Wisconsin for the past 3 years and has enjoyed every minute of it!!

Easy to care for Peace Lilys!

Thriving in lower lighted areas make this plant work almost anywhere!! Try to keep it within 5 to 8 feet of a window for best results. Direct sunlight can cause damage to the peace lily's foliage. If the leaves begin to yellow, it may mean it is receiving too much sunlight. This plant requires heavy watering, but you must allow the soil to dry out in-between watering. At Bank of Memories we offer many different sizes of peace lilys. It is very easy to take care of and would make a wonderful gift.

The Key to Long Lasting Flowers

There are a number of ways to keep cut flowers staying fresh. Change the water every two days. It is important to recut the flowers on a slant (about 3 cm) as this will expose more of the stem to water. Remove any leaves that will be in the water. The flowers should be placed in luke warm water. Use cold water for bulb flowers such as hyacinths, tulips, and daffodils. Add flower food to the water. Your vase should not contain any residue which can be a haven for bacteria that can cause flowers to wilt. The lower the temperature of the room, the longer the flowers will last. Enjoy your fresh arrangement!!

Brides Against Breast Cancer National Tour of Gowns will be held on April 9th 10am-8pm and April 10th from 10am-6pm. It is located at the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center: 750 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr. This event is designed to help raise money for Breast Cancer research. This event is NOT just for War Memorial brides. Bulb Plants

At Bank of Memories we carry a wide variety of bulb plants such as tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils. Not only can you enjoy them through the spring season, but also many years to come.
