Designing with one of the best!

At Bank of Memories we are always looking for ways to make different and beautiful arrangements. On Wednesday, July 20 we had the opportunity to meet and design with Hitomi Gilliam, a world renown floral designer. She has authored 5 books to date, the most recent titled "Creative Edge." In 2008, she won "Gold" and "Best in Show" by invitation only international entry at Singapore Garden Festival, just to name a few awards. Hitomi was such an inspiration to us. Not only was she an awesome floral designer, but also a very kind person. We learned so many new cutting edge design concepts and neat techniques to apply in our every day work. Melissa Maas is shown designing with Hitomi on stage. What a lucky girl!! Melissa designed the yellow bouquet shown and it seemed to be one of Hitomi's favorites!

Dana's Wedding Day!

Dana's wedding day was amazing! Perfect for a summer wedding with her bright colors. Her flowers where hot pink gerbera daisies and roses, orange spider genera daisies, tangerine roses, mango mini callas and green hydrangeas. 

We had so much fun creating her centerpieces. To create more interest at her reception, Fairway of Woodside in Sussex, we did half of the tables with large 35" high flowers clusters inhere theme colors and flowers on cylinder glass vases. To offset the hight we did a simple 14" cylinder with two gerberas tailored with bear grass. On her cocktail tables we continued the theme with a single gerbera in a chubby cylinder and bear grass swirls.

Emily and Mike's Wedding Day!

Emily and Mike were married this summer and chose fuchsia peonies, vibrant yellow gerbera daisies, tangerine roses, green hydrangeas, kermit mums and hypericum berries. They looked amazing with the bridesmaid white and bright green dresses.

Our bride's flowers this weekend showcased beautiful blue dendrobium orchids, white roses, and white oriental lilies. We had so much fun creating your beautiful arrangements. Congrats you two!!!

Our Shop Kitty

Have you every met our Menomonee Falls shop cat Chloe? She is so sweet. Chloe can be found sleeping in a random basket or box around the shop or getting into mischief in our design room. When you drive past be sure to check our large display windows, she loves to watch the cars go by.
