Lots happening lately at Bank of Memories & Flowers! The last week has seen us creating lots of vibrant bouquets with unique elements and composition -- one of our designers even had the opportunity to create a large-scale silk arrangement for the local hospital! We also had the privilege of attending a Teleflora program which focused on sympathy arrangements. Here are just a sample of some of the things that have been keeping us busy...
Our Menomonee Falls location manager and floral designer, Krista, had the opportunity to prepare this silk piece for the new addition to the Cardiac unit at Community Memorial Hospital (above). The inspiration for the arrangement came from the artwork which hangs on the wall near the reception desk (below).
Lots of bright and summery arrangements have been flying out of our doors lately, complete with unique elements such as poppy seed pods (seen in the upper left), looped bear grass (in both the upper right and lower left photos) and perfectly elegant ranunculus (the full white flowers in the lower right).

This week also contained a rather unique request from a customer who wanted to send a birthday gift to her son, but wasn't sure how to put it all together. We ended up origami folding random bill denominations in the shape of leaves and hiding them throughout a green plant which we then delivered. What a cool gift -- maybe money DOES grow on trees?? ;)
Last week we
also had the amazing opportunity to see designer Gerry Toh at a program sponsored by Teleflora. We not only learned some new floral design techniques, but also how to better
serve you, the customer! This experience was very eye-opening and we
are certain these new designs will
brighten up any area. Gerry creates many sculptural pieces, meaning that
he groups the flowers, almost like they are growing in a garden. These
pieces stretch the imagination and creativity much more that your typical arrangement.
We loved the way Gerry used some of the flowers in more of a "cascading" form, even the long-stemmed roses! Such a beautiful "out of the box" design!
This topiary sunflower arrangement would be such a delight to receive!
This "living picture frame" would make such a wonderful tribute to honor a loved one.
Lastly, Brittani & Nate tied the knot this last weekend in Saukville, Wisconsin! Her flowers consisted of blue dendrobium orchids, white lilies, and stephanotis accented with beautifully elegant pearls. This outdoor wedding took place at Tendick Park and shop owner, Melissa, arrived early to adorn the gazebo with an amazing floral arrangement.
Congratulations, Brittani & Nate and THANK YOU for allowing us to be such an integral part of your monumental day!
Here's to another crazy week ahead! All of us at Bank of Memories & Flowers, hope your crazy week is going fabulous and we look forward to filling you in again on our latest happenings next week!
