Reception: Western Lakes Golf Club, Pewaukee
Florist: Bank of Memories, Pewaukee
Month: May
One of the first weddings of our summer season was held at Western Lakes Country Club in Pewaukee this past May. Kayla and Mike had both their ceremony and reception on the grounds of this gorgeous golf course -- the day was truly as beautiful as the setting!
Kayla had chosen Tiffany blue dresses for her bridesmaids and a navy blue dress for her maid of honor. The bridesmaid bouquets consisted of a striking combination of white hydrangeas, white lilies and blue Bom Dendrobium orchids. These orchids are carefully dyed, allowing them to radiate a brilliant blue hue that darkens as it nears the petal edges -- they were exquisite when paired with bridesmaid dresses! Kayla's bouquet also had the white hydrangeas, white lilies and blue Bom orchids as well as peach hypericum berries and white stephanotis accented with rhinestone centers. All gentlemen in the wedding party wore a single blue Bom orchid which made an incredible impact against the black backdrop of the tux.
The colors and feel of the wedding was carried through to the gazebo where two brilliant floral pieces adorned either side. Shepherds hooks with hanging vases of white hydrangeas and more blue Bom orchids adorned the walkway and then later doubled as centerpieces for the reception. Each table at the reception was enhanced with one of three centerpiece styles: the hanging vases from the ceremony, a bubble bowl with a floating candle and orchid blossoms, or three candles of varying sizes surrounded by Tiffany colored pebbles.
The orchids were also incorporated onto the cake knife as well as the toss bouquet. And perhaps one of the best part of doing weddings for us is those who think to send us a formal thank you once it is all over and done. Susan (the bride's mom and also the photographer of many of these incredible photos) recently sent us this:
It truly makes it all worth while!
It truly makes it all worth while!
From all of us at Bank of Memories & Flowers in Pewaukee, we thank Kayla and Mike for the opportunity to be a part of their wonderful day and wish them many many many years of happiness together!
