Robbyn and Bill and Baseball

Month: July
Flowers: Bank of Memories & Flowers Pewaukee
Robbyn and Bill met playing softball and love the Milwaukee Brewers, so it was easy to understand their color scheme and their venue. Kelly's Bleachers III is home to not 1 but 2 baseball fields and the couple planned on marrying on one of them (before the hot weather changed that idea).

Robbyn chose a mix of Brewers colors for her bouquets.  Yellow ranunculus , pincushion protea and craspedia were featured in her bouquet, surrounded by white lisianthus and Queen Anne's Lace as well as light blue delphinium and blue berries.  Her bridesmaid and her flower girl, the couples daughter, carried matching bouquets.

The gentlemen all wore yellow ranunculus boutonnieres with blue berries.  The mothers of the couple wore white pearl band corsages with white and yellow ranunculas with blue berries to accent.

Thank you, Robbyn and Bill, for allowing us to be a part of your special day!

New Sympathy Designs

At Bank of Memories & Flowers, the focus is shifting from traditional funeral pieces to new and more personal designs for remembrance. Traditional funeral arrangements are morphing into garden style designs where like flowers are grouped, almost as if you are looking into a garden.

Add a warm glow and a sense of remembrance with a flame-less flickering pillar candle.

Perhaps your loved one was an avid fisherman, loved bowling or golfing. Use their favorite hobbies or passions as inspiration for their final tributes. If there is something personal that you would like us to incorporate into the design, feel free to bring it in and we can add it to the piece.

Let us help celebrate their life with the warmth and comfort of flowers.

Fish Hatchery Photo Shoot

Dresses & Accessories - Bucci Bridal, Pewaukee
Photography - Jessica Burns
Flowers - Bank of Memories & Flowers, Menomonee Falls & Pewaukee
Hair & Makeup - Dana Welch
Model - Sarah Feldman

Recently we teamed up with some amazing and talented vendors in the wedding industry for a style photo shoot.  The shoot took place in late May at the historical Fish Hatchery in Delafield.  Talented photographer Jessica Burns chose different locations for the shoot among the two ponds, pathways and beautiful prairies.

Model Sarah Feldman wore three stunning bridal gowns.  Melissa Bucci, owner of Bucci Bridal, hand picked the elegant wedding dresses: "Phyllis" by Maggie Sottero, "Instinto" Soft by Rosa Clara  and 6048 by Stella York.

The bridal floral bouquet was filled with shades of blush pinks, light corals, frosty grays and sage greens.  Being that the photo shoot took place in May, Bank of Memories & Flowers selected flowers that were in season.  The bouquet was filled with alstroemeria, spray roses, roses, aspidistra leaves, tulips, succulents, dusty miller and seeded eucalyptus.

To accent the bridal bouquet, vintage bottles and mercury vases were filled with the same seasonal flowers.  The table for two was provided by Vintique Rentals in Oconomowoc.

Bank of Memories & Flowers is honored to have provided the flowers for this photo shoot. We hope it serves as inspiration for many brides in the Milwaukee area!

Spring Blooms

It's already June, can you believe it? This year has been flying by so quickly and now we're in the start of many new flowers that are in season. Here are just a few of my favorites!

There are few flowers with such a fresh green color as viburnum. The round flower sprays also generate a light, sweet perfume. These flowers are beautiful in white and green spring bouquets.

Allium have unusual globe-like flowers that add new dimension to any floral design. The flowers are shiny stars that are grouped in roung clusters at the end of a straight stem.

Agapanthus is another one of my favorites. They are grown for their stunning flowers, commonly found in shades of blue and purple, but also white and pink.

Check out the amazing white phlox and peonies. I just can't get enough of these spring beauties!

I can't wait to share some more of my favorite blooms!!

An Elegant Rustic Wedding

Lanterns lit up the Rustic Manor on a beautiful spring evening as Kerstin and Mike celebrated their first moments as husband and wife. The couple could not have picked a more perfect venue for their rustic reception.

The bride was beautiful in an off-white fitted gown. Her organic textured bouquet was a stunning mix of peonies, roses, garden roses, spray roses, burgundy ranunculus, astilbe, and seeded euculyptus. The results was a gorgeous color scheme of fuchsia, greens, ivory, cream, white and medium pink. She chose a handle wrapped with love knots, a popular choice among our brides.

The bridesmaid bouquets were similar but smaller. They were each wrapped in aqua ribbon. The pop of color was beautiful in combination with the fuchsia flowers.

The groom's boutonniere was a burgundy ranunculus with an ivory spray rose. The groomsmen, fathers, grandfathers, and ushers had a simple burgundy ranunculus with a mix of greens.

The mothers and grandmothers had exquisite pearl wristlet corsages with flowers to match the bride's bouquet.

The ceremony was held at St Anthony on the Lake in Pewaukee, WI. The pews were decorated with hanging vases full of  peonies, roses, garden roses, spray roses, burgundy ranunculus, astilbe, and seeded euculyptus.

The couple's reception was held at the Rustic Manor in Delafield, WI. The tables were lit by candle-light with lanterns surrounded with vintage bottles and mercury votives. Each bottle held an individual flower to match the theme flowers.

From the color scheme to the lovely decor, the wedding looked flawless!

The team at Bank of Memories & Flowers wishes Kerstin and Mike a lifetime of happiness together!
