Ceremony: Potowatomi Hotel- Harmony Room
Reception:Potowatomi Hotel- Serenity Room and Patio
Florist: Bank of Flowers
Month: July
Josh stopped in one day, out of the blue, to discuss flowers for his wedding. He had some great ideas for both the ceremony and reception at the Potowatomi Hotel on the weekend of the 4th of July. He and his groom Greg wanted a little elegance, a little glitz, and lots of fun.
This wedding had quite a few firsts for me, my first time at Potowatomi Hotel and my first gay wedding, among them. As with traditional weddings, the grooms had ladies standing up for them, we call them Groomsmaids (name, patent pending ). The Groomsmaids bouquets were a mix of white hydrangea, white mini calla lilies, dusty miller topped with Blue Bom dendrobium orchid blossoms and finished in white ribbon and rhinestone wraps. The groomsmen all wore orchid blossoms and the grooms wore a single mini calla.
The ceremony was set in the Harmony Room where a center table was accented by tall arrangements matching the reception pieces and two garden urns filled with curly willow branches. In the Serenity Room at the reception, each table was topped with the same tall vases filled with curly willow and white hydrangea. Clear hanging vases filled with tealights hung from the branches. The Groomsmaids' bouquets were used to dress the head table.
We loved working with Josh and Greg, and thank them for giving Bank of Flowers the opportunity to create the wedding they hoped for. We wish them love and happiness for their wedded life together.
