Meet Chloe!
Flowers are not the only thing in our store that can bring you cheer...meet Chloe, our shop cat! She's the only full-time resident of the Menomonee Falls store, and she really has it made! Her favorite past times include eating, sun-bathing, and napping in boxes. Her favorite flower is Lisianthus...we know this because she likes to sneak into the cooler to munch on it!
You may see her sitting in the window, exploring the store, or her favorite...catching a "Cat Nap" in a cardboard box. Wherever she is in the store, there are many benefits to having a pet in your workplace.
Pets help reduce stress....who could possibly be upset after staring into a puppies eyes, or snuggling up to a furry cat! They also seem to bring a bit of joy, even when our customers come in to see us for sympathy flowers...petting Chloe seems to ease their mind and make them feel better.
Chloe is also a bit of a mascot for us (and no, she's not really for sale...we were just having some fun with her!) Everyone loves seeing pictures of her, and what she's up to in the store. Some of our customers and their children love to come into the shop, just to visit Chloe!
She is quite the local celebrity around here! Next time you need flowers or a gift, stop in and say hello to Chloe!

Nothing says "Thank You" quite like beautiful fresh flowers, they really get everyone at the office talking! This cute desktop design is a long-lasting, bold and bright arrangement in a sweet, compact design.
The gift of flowers is the perfect expression of gratitude. For the busy business owner, taking a few minutes to give us a call and send flowers is a special gesture because your admin knows better than anyone, how busy your job is!
Sending fresh flowers, lush dishgardens and green plants, or a vibrant blooming plant will not only brighten up the recipients day, it will bring a bit of cheer to everyone in the office this Administrative Professional's Week!

Milwaukee's Magnificent Bride
Milwaukee's Magnificent Bride Wedding Show has been making wedding dreams come true for over a decade. This year Bank of Memories & Flowers was personally invited to participate with some of the top premiere wedding vendors in the Milwaukee area. The event took place at the historic Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee.
Our booth was covered in textural greens, quicksand nude colored roses, succulents and deep wine colored roses. Dramatic over-sized lanterns where nestled all over the booth filled with candles and fresh greens. Our dramatic 8 foot long floral piece hovered on top of gold vases, hanging crystals and glass globes swayed to add more ambiance.
The highlight of the event for us was our fantasy table where we collaborated with other venders to create a gorgeous themed table. Bank of Memories & Flowers, Paper Envy, BBJ Linen and Canopies all came together to create this very special look for a sweetheart table or a parents table. The fresh flowers table runner was filled with over 50 hydrangeas and 100 roses, it was stunning!

Nick and Kelly, Featured in Veil Magazine
Ceremony: Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church
Reception: Western Lakes Golf Club
Photographer: Heather Cook Elliott Photography
Florist: Bank of Memories & Flowers, Pewaukee
Month: November
From our first meeting which included both moms, I knew Kelly and Nick were going to be a great couple to work with. They chose non-traditional colors, navy and lime green, and for flowers, they chose mini green hydrangeas and green button mums with lots of bling and mercury glass for their fall wedding.
Kelly loved the brooch bouquet her Uncle had made for her cousin, so when asked, he made one for her as well. She also wanted to include her father who had passed before the wedding. I told her about a bride who had sewn charms with pictures of her father and grandparents onto the backs of her shoes so they could walk her down the aisle. Kelly chose to put the photo of her dad onto ribbon that she tied around her ankle.
The bridemaids' bouquets were made of of mini green hydrangeas, natural green carnations, green button mums and hypericum berries, which popped against their navy blue dresses. The bouquets were wrapped in navy ribbon to match the dresses with thick rhinestone bands around the middle of their handles.
I met the men of the wedding party at Pewaukee Lake and pinned on their green rose and hypericum berry boutonnieres while we waited for the ladies to arrive for pictures.
The couple decided not to have floral displays at their ceremony. As you can see, Orthodox churches do not need extra adornment, they are beautiful as they are.
Western Lakes Golf Club hosted the reception, where each table held a part of Kelly's mercury glass collection. Half of the tables were decorated with a cylinder glass vase holding white hydrangeas, mini green hydrangeas, and green buttons. The other tables were decorated with the bride's keepsakes. With wonderful food and a lot of Greek dancing, this was a wedding to remember!
Just recently I found out that Kelly and Nick's wedding was featured in The Veil Magazine. What an honor for them as a couple as well as for me, the floral designer!
I would like to say a big thank you to Heather Cook Elliott Photography for the use of her photos and the staff at The Veil magazine for showing the work of Bank of Memories & Flowers.

Is is Easter Already?!
Can you believe that Easter is less than a week away?! Like Easter and springtime, flowers represent growth and new beginnings. There is no better way to celebrate Easter then by filling your home with spring flowers. I love designing with tulips, fragrant stock and even bird nests which are all welcome sites during springtime.
Easter lilies have long been popular symbols of Easter, representing love and hope, resurrection and purity. Their trumpet-like blossoms almost seem to announce the arrival of spring, and all of it's blessings. Many other house plants, such as our beautiful hydrangeas and hyacinths, bring life to any room in your home.
It's not to late to order your Easter centerpiece! Give us a call today for us to create your custom, one-of-a-kind floral design.
Have a blessed Easter from my family to yours!

Sharon & David
Ceremony: St. John's Lutheran Church, Wauwatosa, WI
Reception: Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel
Florist: Bank of Memories & Flowers, Menomonee Falls
Month: March 2016
Flowers add so much to an event. From the biggest and grandest weddings, to intimate events with friends, it's all about the flowers! Each event has its own story to tell, which is often reflected in the decorations chosen.
Sharon and David chose a rich, lush wild feel for their wedding flowers. From the elegant garden roses and mini-green hydrangeas, to the petite spray roses and berries, it's all about the texture. The greenery really made these pieces pop.
Seeded eucalyptus, guinea eucalyptus, bay leaves, dusty miller, and hints of grevillia all came together with the blossoms to create the amazing textural pieces.
You can even find little succulent plants nestled into the bouquets and the groom's boutonniere. It's all about the details!
Congratulations Sharon & David!
