Hilton Double Tree Wedding

Danielle and Chad's Wedding!

Ceremony: Brew City Church, Milwaukee
Reception: Hilton Double Tree, Milwaukee
Photographer: Nate Castner Photography
Flowers: Bank of Flowers
Cake:  Aggie's Bakery and Cake Shop
Month: September

Nothing says love like the red rose, and so it was a perfect choice for these two amazing people in love!  Add a touch of gold, and you've got a simply glamorous wedding!  Danielle chose a simple design for her bouquets.  She loved the idea of bright red roses accented with sparkling jewels.  It really stood out against her soft white dress.  Her maids all wore elegant dresses covered in gold sequins, so to contrast their flowers, the maids carried tight clusters of white roses.  The men wore simple boutonnieres of red or white spray roses.
The aisle of the church was accented with clusters of red roses vased, hanging from the pews.  They really added to the elegance and glamour of this wedding.  The reception was quite stunning with red roses everywhere!  Clusters of red roses on the tables came alive when tall goblet-style tiered holders were filled with gold sand and candles.  Even the cake was accented with gold frosting and red rose clusters and petals around the table. Everything came together so well, and looked amazing. We are so happy to be a part of making Danielle and Chad's wedding dreams come true!

The Story of Monte

Bank of Flowers in Menomonee Falls has had their resident kitty "Chloe" for quite some time.  The ladies at the Pewaukee store were jealous and wanted their own store pet.

A snail that arrived on a plant was our first pet. Shelldon kept trying to escape and Luan, the manager, was falsely accused with aiding an escapee.  Shelldon was moved to Ashley's house because he was a proven flight risk. (Update:  Shelldon was found half eaten at his current residence. We assume it happened during another escape attempt.)

We then had a fish that Ashley received from her Secret Santa.  Fin didn't last long and he was replaced by Finn 2 who lasted just as long.  We finally figured out that some of the sprays we use ended up in the fish's water bowl and killed them.

That was a few years ago and we still really wanted a pet.  Melissa researched available cats at area shelters because we definitely wanted a cat that wouldn't get into everything and was mellow.  At last, on September 22, Monte came to live at our store.

Monte was named after a flower, the Monte Casino Aster.  In the beginning he was a little skittish but that lasted 3 days!  The people at the Washington County Humane Society thought he might be feral and that he was a stray at one point, not good for ladies who love cats.  Well, after those 3 days of settling in, Monte has become the king of the store!  He likes to greet us at the back door when we get in in the morning and give us kisses.  He will say hi to anyone who comes into the store and always lies down at their feet.   Monte is an attention hog!

Monte acts very much like a dog.  He has played fetch with us a few times.  We cannot leave an open purse laying around because he will dig in it looking for food.  Monte will come when called (most of the time).  We're surprised he doesn't bark!

Thank you Melissa for picking out such a wonderful companion!  We love Monte very much!

Hubbard Park Wedding

Stacy and Matt's Wedding!

Ceremony and Reception: Hubbard Park, Milwaukee
Flowers: Bank of Flowers
Photographer: Vital Image
Month: August

I can't think of a cheerier flower than the Gerbera Daisy.  Something about this flower just makes people smile, and so it was a very fitting flower for Stacy and Matt's special day, where smiles could be found everywhere you look!
Stacy chose a palette of white, peach and coral, a perfect compliment to the robins egg blue dresses. The bouquets were made from white hydrangeas, soft peach stock, peach and coral roses, and coral gerberas.  The men wore double spray rose boutonnieres in coral, with white for the groom.
The aisle was decorated with hanging vases filled with white hydrangeas, and the reception tables were simply charming with coral gerberas in a vase accented with the robins egg blue ribbon.
This was such a fun color scheme and look, and it was so much fun to be a part of Stacy and Matt's special day!  Congratulations!

Scenic View Golf Club

Sarah and Keith's Wedding!

Ceremony: Trinity Lutheran Church, West Bend
Reception: Scenic View Country Club, Slinger
Photographer: Joey Photo
Flowers:  Bank of Flowers
Month: August

Sarah and Keith's special day took place in a quaint small town, but there's nothing "small town" about their wedding!  From the dresses and tuxedos, to the flowers, this wedding has the feel of big city elegance.  Sarah's bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas looked simply divine with her lovely beaded lace gown, and the simply stated white rose boutonniere was just the right touch against his soft grey tailored suit.
Sarah's maids looked just as elegant in their navy lace dresses with ribbon and button accents.  Their bouquets mimicked  the look of the bridal bouquet with roses and hydrangeas in a full array of peach tones.
The historic Trinity Lutheran Church has such charm, just a few simple flowers were needed to add to the elegant feel of the wedding.  White hydrangeas accented the aisle, while two large arrangements in peaches and white adorned the alter.
The reception took place at Scenic View Country Club, where the elegant feel was carried through with simple, yet elegant centerpieces.  Large cylinder vases filled with white orchids and a floating candle were placed atop beveled mirrors and accented with votive candles.   The bridal bouquets were placed in vases on the head table, and the large altar vases were also re-purposed as focal decor!
Congratulations to Sarah and Keith, it was a pleasure to be a part of your special day!
