Scenic View Golf Club

Sarah and Keith's Wedding!

Ceremony: Trinity Lutheran Church, West Bend
Reception: Scenic View Country Club, Slinger
Photographer: Joey Photo
Flowers:  Bank of Flowers
Month: August

Sarah and Keith's special day took place in a quaint small town, but there's nothing "small town" about their wedding!  From the dresses and tuxedos, to the flowers, this wedding has the feel of big city elegance.  Sarah's bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas looked simply divine with her lovely beaded lace gown, and the simply stated white rose boutonniere was just the right touch against his soft grey tailored suit.
Sarah's maids looked just as elegant in their navy lace dresses with ribbon and button accents.  Their bouquets mimicked  the look of the bridal bouquet with roses and hydrangeas in a full array of peach tones.
The historic Trinity Lutheran Church has such charm, just a few simple flowers were needed to add to the elegant feel of the wedding.  White hydrangeas accented the aisle, while two large arrangements in peaches and white adorned the alter.
The reception took place at Scenic View Country Club, where the elegant feel was carried through with simple, yet elegant centerpieces.  Large cylinder vases filled with white orchids and a floating candle were placed atop beveled mirrors and accented with votive candles.   The bridal bouquets were placed in vases on the head table, and the large altar vases were also re-purposed as focal decor!
Congratulations to Sarah and Keith, it was a pleasure to be a part of your special day!

Thanksgiving Centerpieces Galore!

The smell of freshly baked pies and fall leaves covering the yard are signs that Thanksgiving is almost here!  This is a time to remind us of all of the blessings that fill our lives.  As we gather with our friends and family this Thanksgiving, why not enjoy each others company surrounded by beautiful fresh flowers?!
Vivid orange roses and gerbera daisies, burgandy hypericum berries and mums, and tufts of bright autumn leaves are sure to illuminate any table.  Here at Bank of Flowers, we carry many different autumn containers such as ceramic pumpkins and pots adorned with maple leaves.  We would love to help "dress" your table this Thanksgiving, so if the turkey, dressing and pie are already checked off the shopping list, bring the flowers!

Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving from my family to yours!

Kendall + Robert = Wedded Bliss

Ceremony Location: Our Savior Lutheran Church, Hartland
Reception: Delafield Hotel, Delafield
Florist: Bank of Flowers, Pewaukee
Month: July

I met with Kendall a few short months before her July 30th wedding, and we hit it off immediately.  Her bubbly personality is infectious and I wanted to make her flowers as fun as she is.

Kendall chose peach, white and grey as her color palette.  We combined hydrangeas, astilbe, bouvardia, white oriental lilies, garden roses, godetia, and peach gerbera daisies with grey brunia and dusty miller to fulfill her floral wishes.  Kendall added personality to her wedding by using a personalized burlap aisle runner for the ceremony and having their huskies walk the couple down the aisle after saying "I do".  Her "something blue" was a small heart shaped piece of her father's shirt added to her wedding dress.

At their reception at the Delafield Hotel, the aisle flowers from the ceremony were repurposed to be used on the cocktail tables.  Tall and short floral arrangements were interspersed throughout the reception tables.  At the end of the night, the couple walked through a gauntlet of well wishers waving lit sparklers.  So much fun!!

I sometimes wish weddings happened more than once just so I can work with the same people over and over again.  Kendall and Robert were be on the top of the list!
We wish them a wonderful, fun happy wedded life together!
