College in Boston brought together two people from two different hemispheres: Brittany, from Pewaukee, WI, and Michael, from Cape Town, South Africa. Their families came together to celebrate their marriage at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center in Bayside,WI.
The planning began a year before we met with Brittany and her mother to plan her bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages. With some tweaking along the way we designed bouquets with both families in mind.
Brittany's bouquet was natural and flowing with a mix of herbs such as mint, lavender, and rosemary, hydrangea, lotus pods, succulents, pink peonies, sweet william, green wheat, and green hypericum berries centered on a gorgeous King Protea. The protea is native to the groom's place of birth, South Africa. The hand tied bouquet was finished with lamb's ear, dusty miller, plumosa, and variegated pittosporum, wrapped in burlap and twine.
A mix of herbs and greens were tied to the chairs on the aisle. A handmade backdrop fluttered behind the couple as they said their vows.
The mother and father of the bride designed the table arrangements themselves. The arrangements were a mixture of wooden boxes filled with succulents, mosses, and insect brooches aside rabbit vases with protea and allium. As rabbits are Brittany's favorite animal, she incorporated them into her design throughout the venue.
The staff at Bank of Memories & Flowers wishes Brittany and Michael all the best for their future travels and wedded life.
Luan was a joy to work with and worked very hard to incorporate all (and there were many!) requests in decorating the venue. She was so very personable, and accommodating. Could not be happier with our choice of florist! Thank you Luan and Bank of Memories & Flowers, you helped to make the day of my daughter's wedding, one to remember!
